Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) Board of Trustees, today announced the opening of the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) in Emirates Towers, AREA 2071. The new Centre intends to help government bodies adopt future technology in crucial industries.
Sheikh Hamdan stated that Dubai is continuing to swiftly accelerate its acceptance of new artificial intelligence and future technologies in line with global technological advancement. This is consistent with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision and directions to position the emirate as a worldwide leader in preparing for new possibilities and challenges, as well as shaping the future.
“Dubai’s government will be the best in the world when it comes to deploying artificial intelligence (AI) across its various entities.” This new Center is the first step toward attaining that aim and establishing future services that will keep up with fast technology improvements.”
He urged staff in all Dubai government agencies to use generative AI technologies to boost productivity and improve government services.
“We hope to see practical applications of generative AI technologies in our government sector,” Sheikh Hamdan remarked. Technological advancement is accelerating, and we in Dubai are committed to be just as quick in testing and exploiting it for societal benefit. We want new AI-powered government tools to have an immediate and measurable impact.”
